Parliamentary engagement training
Matt Flinders delivering one of our training sessions
Building upon the Crick Centre’s expertise in research, public engagement and impact we deliver innovative training courses designed to promote the public understanding of politics. Drawing on practical expertise and academic study the Centre provides courses tailored to the needs of academics and practitioners.
Providing participants with in depth understanding of a given area and a chance to hone practical skills these workshops advance the Centre’s aims by promoting political literacy and public engagement.
Currently the Crick Centre offers a training course for academics on how to engage with Parliament through Select Committees.
New courses are currently being developed for academics on engaging with the media and translating academic research to different audiences. We are also working with external partners to develop courses for practitioners on the challenges of political engagement.
