The Crick Centre, University of Sheffield and Ignite Imaginations are holding a 3 day event on the themes of Discrimination, Inequality and Sense of Place, as part of Festival of the Mind.
Come along and take part in daily art workshops and see the exhibition of artists' work responding to the themes.
Every evening at 7.30pm there will be an open mic night when poets, performers, musicians, filmmakers and academics will share their views on the themes, to be compered by Professor Brendon Stone.
The Our Corner- Art as Political Expression exhibition will be held at Bank Street Arts during a 3 day event from 18-20 September. It will encompass daily workshops and evening open mic sessions where you can come along and participate in artistic expression and public debate to push and probe the boundaries of art as a political medium.
