Part of the focus on engaged scholarship is a willingness to work with politicians, policy-makers, academics, think tanks and community associations all over the world to promote engaged citizenship and the creation of new forms of engagement, participation and understanding.
This might take the form of working with parliamentary committees or governments right through to spending time mentoring local youth groups or on-line discussion groups.
Our emphasis is on engaged scholarship which makes us leaders in the field of academic impact, public engagement and social relevance.
Many of its projects adopt a form of co-production that engages with potential research users throughout the whole research process.
